Ganesh Rengaswamy Joins Unitus as India Country Director
Unitus Announces Ganesh Rengaswamy as India Country Director and Newest Member of Global Senior Management Team
Seattle, WA and Bangalore, India, June 4, 2009 — Unitus, Inc., an international nonprofit dedicated to reducing global poverty by accelerating access to microfinance, is very pleased to welcome Ganesh Rengaswamy as India Country Director and the newest member of Unitus’s global senior management team. As India Country Director, Rengaswamy will head the organization’s India microfinance initiatives including managing the team of consultants, advising Unitus microfinance partners and serving on the global senior management team.

Before joining Unitus, Rengaswamy was co-founder of Travelguru.com, the leading online travel site for hotels and vacations in India and South Asia, and launched India investments for Greylock Partners, one of the oldest top-tier venture capital firms in the US. Prior to Greylock Partners, he worked at Infosys Technologies managing mission-critical engagements for Fortune 500 clients and leading $100 million (USD) customer acquisition programs. Before Infosys, he managed a private investment fund.
Rengaswamy holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from IT-BHU/IIT-BHU (India), a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and a graduate degree in finance and systems strategy from IIM-Calcutta.
