Unitus, Inc. partners with Financial Sector Deepening Kenya to provide guarantee for a $400,000 loan facility to Yehu Microfinance based in Mombasa, Kenya
Unitus, Inc. has provided a grant of USD$350,000 to Financial Sector Deepening Kenya (FSDK) in support of a loan guarantee which FSDK is providing for a new USD$400,000 loan facility extended to Yehu Microfinance. This new catalytic loan facility supports expansion of Yehu’s microcredit lending operations into rural areas of Kenya where there are very few reasonable lending options for the self-employed working poor. FSDK is partnering with Microcredit Enterprises to provide this new loan facility to Yehu.
Unitus, Inc. and FSDK first collaborated in 2009 for setup of Africa Microfinance Growth Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.
